Under his visionary leadership, Professor YILMAZ also presides over the Neuromodulation Technologies Research Development and Patient Education Association. His commitment to advancing the field extends to serving as Vice President of the Middle-Eastern Society for Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery—a continental chapter of the World Society for Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery—as well as Vice President of the Neuromodulation Research and Education Association, which represents the Turkish chapter of the International Neuromodulation Society. Additionally, he is the Chairman of the Turkish Neurosurgery Association Foreign Relations Board and a Board member of the Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery Pain and Epilepsy group of the Turkish Neurosurgical Association.

Professor YILMAZ's influence is global; he has trained 34 physicians from 26 different countries, led the establishment of several neuromodulation centers worldwide, and performed the inaugural Neuromodulation surgery in seven countries.
